November 22, 2019
Today was the annual Friendsgiving celebration with the Peer Buddies. With Thanksgiving around the corner, students celebrated being thankful and grateful for the buddies that they each play with during physical education class. After everyone enjoyed lunch we competed against each other in Mario Cart and Ping Pong. Below are some pictures from today's festivities:

2018 - 2019 Peer Buddies
End of the Year Bowling Party!
May 2018:
The Peer Buddy Program was a tremendous success this year! My general education students did an amazing job of displaying patience, empathy, and compassion each and every day. The students with special needs developed their motor skills, social skills, and developed peer relations that extended outside of my classroom. To wrap up the school year, Ms. Belzano’s and Ms. Park’s class (known as Shark Squad) invited my Buddies to their annual 8th Grade Celebration Party. This year, The Shark Squad’s annual event was held at Irvine Lanes. All 30 students gathered together and spent 3 hours on a mini-field trip. They enjoyed spending time with friends, bowling and eating pizza. I even joined in on the fun and threw a couple of strikes! Amazing work Sharks!
I couldn’t be more proud of this years group of Buddies!
