The Shark Project

As a school we ask our students to show and demonstrate the South Lake Cares motto daily. In the spring of 2018, teachers were asked by the PBIS Coaches to take a moment and think about a student in their class: The high achiever, underperformer, English learner or a student with unique needs. With a student in mind, they reflected on the question: "Why do you teach? Who inspires you?" and why they became an educator. Once they had their answer, teachers were asked to take a minute in their school day and tell that student why on video. Below you will find unscripted, genuine words and reactions from our staff and students. This video was a way to tell students that we care about our school and especially about our students.
